Lion chooses Telecom

Telecom says its Australian business, TCNZ Australia, will provide all of Lion Nathan's trans Tasman voice, data and mobile services in what it describes as an "exclusive multi-million dollar deal." The exact value of the contract has not been given.

Head of TCNZA, Karyn Devonshire, says the company is now establishing a strong presence in the 'Top 100' corporate telecommunications and online market in Australia.

"The letter of intent with Lion Nathan builds on our recent win with transport and logistics company, Toll Holdings.

"We offer a single point of accountability while not being tied to any one vendor. That means when a company like Lion Nathan grows we have the freedom to go in and develop new telecommunications systems which integrate the new business."

Ms Devonshire says TCNZA can also leverage the its trans-Tasman strength. Lion Nathan says the company's flexibility and responsiveness was key to the winning the contract.
