The company last week said it expected the loss to be up to $100,000 worse than previously forecast at between $750,000 and $850,000.
Sales for the year were $586,000.
BDO is pinning its hopes on a new association with Lower Hutt pharmacist Gordon Ritson who is taking at 27% stake in the company.
The relationship is expected to push Beauty Direct into online pharmacy and prescription services as well as increase its product range to full line cosmetics.
