The company has announced new charges in a number of centres that take into account recent changes by Transpower and local distribution companies.
On energy says its new prices are wide-ranging and include a low fixed-charge option for small users. Savings will be greatest for low-use customers.
"The new prices vary from region to region, depending on local line company charges and existing pricing structures," the company says.
"Nationwide, 83% of On energy customers will receive reductions on their electricity bills. Savings will be greatest for low-use customers."
MD John Barton says the company is passing on all of the savings from Transpower and lines companies.
The company claims customers in Christchurch and Auckland will benefit by around $50 a year, while small business customers in Wellington could benefit by more than $300 a year.
However some customers will only save a few dollars a month.
On energy is the new trading name for the gas and electricity division of NCH.
