Former phone card company E-phone - now called Electronic Transaction Technology (NZSE: ETT) - is partnering with Caltex to push its internet terminal business.

The company has announced an agreement with the oil company to trial public access internet terminals at five Caltex Starmart properties in Auckland, Wellington and Rotorua.

The agreement is for an initial period of three months to assess the market strategy, after which a further deal may be signed.

ETT says it has also entered into an agreement with Australian-based hotel group Mirvac Hotels to install its systems in their hotel properties, with the first installation at the Hyde Park Plaza in Sydney.

The company's proprietary system was recently installed in New Zealand's first McDonalds McCyber Cafe in Dunedin.

ETT announced in June it was moving its headquarters to Sydney and hoped to win business from the Australian banking sector as it reviews, upgrades and replaces transaction processing equipment and systems.
