Fisher & Paykel Appliances has announced the appointment of Dr Keith Turner as an independent director.
Dr Turner is a professional consultant and director based in Wellington who sits on the boards of Auckland International Airport (as deputy chairman), Spark Infrastructure, an ASX listed company and several unlisted companies.
“Keith is well known throughout New Zealand business and government circles and has an impressive track record as both a director and chief executive officer,” said F&P Appliances chairman Ralph Waters.
“Keith’s engineering background, commercial, strategic and governance expertise will be valuable additions to the board.”
Dr Turner said, “Fisher & Paykel Appliances is a New Zealand based company that has an international reputation for innovation and developing world leading technologies. I am delighted to be able to contribute my skills and experience to support the company going forward.”
Prior to moving into consulting and professional director roles Dr Turner held a number of senior roles in the New Zealand electricity industry. He is a former chief executive officer of Meridian Energy and former chief operating officer of the Electricity Corporation of New Zealand.
Dr Turner takes up his appointment from today.
