Cavotec wins 4.1 million euro contracts to supply airport ground equipment

Cavotec MSL Holdings, the global engineering group and owner of Christchurch-based MoorMaster, won 4.1 million euros of orders to supply ground support systems for the New Doha International Airport in Qatar, Las Vegas airport’s new international terminal and the US Air Force’s Hill air base in the state of Utah. 

Cavotech Airport’s market unit designs and manufactures in-ground and pop-up pit systems to supply aircraft with water, fuel and power for commercial and military airports. The group also supplies aircraft cables, connectors, cable coilers, caddies, tow-bars and pre-conditioned air (PCAir) systems to airport operators worldwide. 

The NZX-listed company has 10 global research and engineering centres, including its New Zealand design office, and 28 sales offices around the world. MoorMaster was merged into the Cavotech MSL in September 2006 when the innovative ship mooring systems annual turnover was about $200m. 

Cavotec MSL shares last traded in New Zealand on October 28 at $2.70 a share and have declined about 9% in the past six months. Chairman Stephan Widegren and other company executives are expected to visit here next week.
