Smartpay Holdings advises that it has accepted the resignation of KPMG as external auditor of the company with effect from 7 November 2022. The Board has resolved to appoint PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as the group’s new external auditor on the same day for the financial year commencing 1 April 2022.
The decision to change the external auditor in no way reflects on the performance of KPMG. Rather, the board determined that after a long period as Smartpay’s external auditor it was good governance to change the auditor.
PwC’s appointment follows a formal request for proposal process that was overseen by Smartpay’s Audit and Finance Committee.
Smartpay would like to thank KPMG for their service and support of the company.
