U.S. market ended lower on Thursday as the Bank of England and European Central Bank updated concerning inflation data.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 1.23%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite were down 2.13% and 3.23%, respectively.
Other key markets ended lower. European stocks closed lower as follows: the FTSE100 (-0.71%), the Dax 30 (-1.57%), CAC 40 (-1.54%) and the STOXX (-1.92%). In Asia, the Hang Seng and Shanghai indices ended mixed. The key Asian indices ended yesterday as follows: Nikkei 225(-1.06%), HSI (+1.07%) and the Shanghai Composite (-0.97%).
The yield on the US 10 - year note was at 1.77%, while the 2 - year note was at 1.188%. Oil was up to $90.91 per barrel, up 1.61%. The gold price was at US$1805.73 per ounce, down 0.12%.
