Phaedrus,

I have been actively monitoring the Gold chart and reached a different 
conclusion to you.  If you draw the downtrend line with a slightly steeper 
slope, you get a confirmed trendline that has now been broken.  I realise 
that aspects of TA are subjective but I would be interested to know why you 
have drawn your tentative downtrend line where you have.
