| Robin,           Remember we are
discussing terrorism solely in the context of a supremely price sensitive
commodity - Gold .Therefore we have to enter a world of McCarthyism
thinking  "Reds under every Bed ". We are  not debating terrorism
other than in that scenario .We would all agree the human psyche is too fragile
and would render itself  wholly inoperative if we confronted reality ,
or the what might happens , totally head-on in every day life . That is
better left to the realm of gods and other support systems  or
palliatives.    You question had Haggis
said  "His God had told him that nuclear
Armaggeddon was nigh " what would have been my reaction ? I would have been no
more moved than already knowing that George Bush is preprogrammed by
Fundamentalist belief that he leads  a crusading America into exactly that
scenario .The leader of the most powerful nation on earth subscribes to and is
compromised in his every action by that fundamental belief . He effectively
is OUR leader . Even while Ex-President Ronald Reagan was taking those
afternoon siestas his wife , Nancy , was consulting her own Astrologers
(since you mention them ). That George Bush , Donald Rumsfeld and other advisers
at the White House have their own  soothsayer or modern day
Nostradamus in their midst , a man who unlocks key codes for messages
from the Bible . He extracts data re the whereabouts of Osama Bin Laden etc etc
.           Robin , if ever
you are in NZ , I must take you to a pub on the shores of the Hokianga Harbour
.As you sit gazing at the "top shelf "over a beer you are confronted with the
profound statement -           "Sometimes I think
the whole world is mad - except for thee and me . And even sometimes I have my
own doubts about thee ".  Perhaps we could even talk a ,now- on --the
-wagon , George Bush into joining us  Perhaps that homily would not be
wasted on him . I just do not know !  It might be the best bit of advice he
ever had .
Regards
