ASX Announcement 27.5.04
' ... Re: Jeyco Pty Ltd of Western Australia
signs agreement as a reseller of Zylotech's Acoustic Seawatch sonobuoys
technology and (IP), video surveillance products
Zylotech is pleased to advise that Jeyco Pty Ltd, a
leading mooring and marine equipment company based in Western Australia, has
agreed to be a value added reseller of Zylotech's SeaWatch SW1, long-life
acoustic Sonobuoy based surveillance systems and, where applicable to their
customers, to integrate, bundle and resell Zylotech's IP based video
surveillance products.
Jeyco Pty Ltd has operated in the moorings
and associated marine equipment business for 12 years and has active government
and commercial clients throughout Australia and more recently in South East
Asia, Korea, China, Africa, Europe and USA, and sees the addition of
the Zylotech unique SeaWatch acoustic surveillance buoy systems as complimentary
to their current product range, type of business and customer needs for improved
security of their coastal and offshore assets.
The unique SeaWatch SW1, long-life sonobuoy system
is the first acoustic based surveillance solution developed and released by
Zylotech, following its acquisition of Sonacom Ltd in 2003 and, as advised by
ASX announcement dated 18 May 2004, the SeaWatch technology is currently
being evaluated by the Coastwatch and Great Barrier Reef Marine Park
Authority (GBRMPA) organizations under a 3 month pilot program,
funded by them, on the Eastern Seaboard.
Development of the SeaWatch system was part funded
under a Commonwealth AusIndustry R&D Start Grant to develop an acoustic
based system for monitoring the world oceans and additional acoustic product
versions using the core SeaWatch and SeaVigil technology are in development and
planned for release in 2004 and 2005.
Under the agreement with Zylotech, Jeyco
will deploy and maintain a SeaWatch SW1 sonobuoy at a selected location off the
Western Australian coast and, using the Zylotech SonaSurv base station unit at
their Fremantle head office, will be able to demonstrate the full solution
capability to potential customers and support same post
sale.
Zylotech see this agreement reached with Jeyco as a
significant opportunity to demonstrate and sell to both commercial and
government customers a working acoustic surveillance solution
for remote ocean based locations, backed by Zylotech's IP based video
surveillance solutions where the customers assets are sea based and closer in to
shore, such as is the case with a number of Jeyco's aquaculture
clients. Zylotech is confident that due to their experience with marine
products Jeyco will be an ideal business partner with whom we can team to open
sales opportunities in the regions in which they operate.
Yours faithfully,
Bernard McGeorge
