Allan,
I am
intruding I know but nice touch about Schindler being somewhat
of a paradox .I know it was only a novel but Charles Dickens, in Tale of
Two Cities , had his character Sydney Carlton give his life in the French
Industrial Revolution for a friend at the Guillotine by a
clandestine exchange of roles.. Remember those words " It is a
far ,far better thing I do - - - - - - - - than I have
ever known " . Carlton had led a life as a dissolute Rouee but certainly by
laying down his life for a friend ,who was in love with the same woman , made
more than necessary amends.
Excuse
the interruption you touched a nerve.
