Thanks woody, I don't actually trade gold but do the next best thing with gold mine shares, with companies like KCN getting it out of the ground at us$117 per oz, it seems a better option for the inexperienced trader. I have for better or worse jumped on the gold merry go round with AGG,KCN, and LHG, the first two pay a dividend which is not overly common for gold shares, I have always been shy of LHG, as New Guinea where they are based is such a tricky place to do business, and I have always believed Rio Tinto would like to be rid of it, but while I fear the worst for it, I have seen others make a lot of money on it, and I have thrown caution to the wind, as for some reason that eludes me gold looks like busting $400 again. [and I'm just getting into t.a. which the way I interpret it, KCN and LHG are buys, but not AGG] And yes I do understand gold is a truly international currency, that has been here before, the existing currencies and very well well be here after them. [as a currancy] Thanks for your help. Then you will believe that gold will have many ' Fools Rallies " until the end of this year, that is when I believe that gold will continue its Bull run perhaps to the 800 or even further. Just make sure that if you go long gold that you have a very long contract, many short term traders will get burned over the coming months.
