Thx for the commentry Phaedrus.  I'm sure it is most appreciated by other 
readers of this forum!  From about 1990 a "buy and hold" strategy would have 
returned you approx 16%pa.  Not to bad....but probably could be improved.  
As you mention SAN has been rangebound for long periods which makes 
oscillators an invaluable tool.  What I found amazing was the support and 
res levels to be seen in this stock!

Will have to concur with your recommendation of John Murphy's book (TA of 
the financial Markets).  I have read this over 4 times now.  Also worthwhile 
is Alex Elders book - (Trading for a living), Martin Prings book (TA 
explained).  Another useful book is Link's book (High probability trading) - 
an invaluable read.
