Snoopy, I fear you are regressing. Way back in early 1991 you said "Personally I wouldn't disagree too much with the idea of using fundamentals to select your shares and technical signals to pick the right buy/sell times." That is all I have ever advocated. Re TLS, I sold out completely at the trendline break in 1999. Let's say I then "wasted" all my winnings on wine, women and song. Does that make selling at that point a mistake? Not in my book! People, again, forgive me if I do not enter into this perennial debate. In the past I have wasted far too much time trying to convince sceptics of the worth of TA. The bottom line is of course that I do not care whether others use TA or not.
