Many successful traders are unequivocal about one thing: you get from trading/investment what you are looking for. In many cases, people don't know what they are seeking. Some search for riches, other for recognition, others for a sense of being right. Some might even be seeking to *lose* money (although they would be surprised at this suggestion). So often, or so it seems, people assume far too much about what other people are looking for and in this sense, from square one, they are barking up different trees.
