Hi Malcolm,
Hoping to put your mind at ease Malcolm, so I am
sending this as a fresh email (not a reply or forward).
I have a firewall. I have virus scanning software
that updates regularly throughout the day and does a complete scan of the whole
drive before I shut down each day.
If I receive an attachment I am expecting, I
copy it to the desktop and scan it with two different versions of
software before opening.
Having said that, nothing in this world
is 100% certain, so if you receive indications of a virus from my
mail, then please let me know and I will search for it (crush, kill,
destroy) and let all know the outcome.
At this point, I believe my re-use of
emails (opening the original, selecting forward, then adding updated
information on a share) has triggered an attachment signal (although I'm
not sure why this would occur) so I
will discontinue using the 'forward' option.
Would appreciate hearing if you receive this OK.
(Guess I won't if you delete it.)
Kind regards,
Cris
