HI Callum,

 

Happy to kick it off for you.

 

Haven't noticed your name before. Are you new to this forum? Do you use the name baa baa?

 

I have experienced both property & shares (in Australia).

 

At this point in time, I believe the best growth over the next 3-5 years will be in equities. Just a personal opinion.

 

Reason? Everything runs in cycles and I believe the property market here has experienced the best part of its run.

 

I invest in ozzie stocks with high growth potential. (This will be of little surprise to most here.)

 

I'm sure some of the wiser ones here would have a lot more to contribute.

can I get a show of hands from people who invest in property?

I just want to see a little bit of debate as to: shares vs property

I am currently invested in both, when considering the enjoyment factor, or what gets me the most excited I would say shares, but then when you look at property theres the security and lucrative returns, not to mention the lessons in business skills that you have to pick up...

there goes my 5cents worth, so what do you guys think?
