If you are interested in presenting a lot of information on one monitor.. you 
might like to have a look at this product

while the 18" model appears quite expensive - I am told a 17" model is due to 
be released soon and will trade at a substantial discount.. you might want more 
workspace then a 17" monitor provides, but these monitors have the advantage of 
effectively doubling the ammount of information being viewed.
I am sure you will be able to see a demonstration of the monitor in use if you 
make the appropriate enquiries. I made puchase enquiries over the Xmas period 
and received excellent sales service.
