Macdunk I fully understand the question, however cant see quite how the answer can help you make money, I made a lot of money on WHS last year and have just today started makeing money on it again after purchasing again in mid december, it was a "dog" last year however.
Digressing a little about WHS, I arrived at their New Lynn store 1/2 an hour before opening time on boxing day and the doors were already opening and the place was in a bit of a mess from Christmass Eve but it was pumping.
If you look at what is selling now, and what has been sold,  it seems  Mr Tindal has it right in NZ and will either get it right in Aus or use his exit strategy, which he has a time table for.
Back to the point, the years start/finish  price doesnt mean much unless you hang in for the full year, entry and exit times are the important thing.
Allan.

Subject: [sharechat] gold question by macdunk

The year 2003 has come and gone.      The posters that have advised buying gold at the start of 2003 now Is the time to come out, and let us all know the result.         LAZY HAGGIS can I ask a few questions please?.    I have absolutely no Interest In the quantity you bought or sold, only how you went about It, where you got It, how much In NZ dollar terms, what the price was at the start of the year, and what It was worth at the end.      I can go on brokerage to buy and sell etc, the percentage of profit against what you made after expences.
To keep It simple you bought 10 ounces of gold on the first trading day In jan 2003 and sold on the last trading day In dec.
The question Is open to all people buying and selling gold .     Its pointless saying Gold was worth this In US dollar terms and now It Is worth that when the dollar has dropped against ours making gold look much better than It really Is.
                                              cheers macdunk
