I agree with what Woody says. TA measures sentiment and changes in that sentiment. And what is sentiment affected by? Emotions. What affects emotions? All the fundamental aspects that influence a share price. And what shifts a share price? Changes in supply and demand. The level of risk any investor can take is limited only by their ability or skill to reduce it. TA is the cumulative result of all fundamental and emotional factors influencing a share price. As such, it gives us an insight into the cumulative mind of investors. Or in other words, the market.
