[sharechat] SNOOPY & RBD
Sorry all, don't mean to hog the internet tonight, especially when everyone
will be watching the Rugby tests, but have some observations.
May I paraphrase a columnist of long ago and say I do not come to praise or
bury SNOOPY, but thank him for his persistence.
SNOOPY has consistently kept me abreast of his thoughts and analysis on RBD.
While I can't say I agreed with all of what he said, it did contribute to my
education and awareness of this issue which I declined to buy as an IPO. My
declination was based on my personal tastes with regard to the original three
concepts, as I know them in the US. The only one I personally do business with
is KFC. My analysis was not financial, but personal. That was a mistake since
I would have made a good profit and been safely back in cash well prior to the
current price. Now where does SNOOPY come in. SNOOPY kept this issue in the
forefront until I started looking at the chart. Sorry SNOOPY, but the chart
did tell this cocktail napkin chartist, something. I bought my first tranche
at $1.31. After consulting the chart and seeing a multiple bottom at $1.25, I
put in an order to double my position at $1.25. If the stock had dropped to
$1.23 or lower I would have bailed in a New York minute. As luck would have
it, it did not dip that far and here I sit today thanking both SNOOPY AND
PHAEDRUS for their respective insite and expertise. I guess my seat of the
pants F/A, & cocktail napkin T/A, has at the moment been successful. At any
rate, I thank both SNOOPY PHAEDRUS for their contributions to this sharechat
site and my (for the moment) success on this issue as well as others.
Well done guys!!! Your serious as well as playful exchanges are helpful for
the peanut gallery out here.
Allan
