I have been asked to pass on a message from our US correspondent 
Allan Potts who it seems is being blocked from posting to this forum at 
the moment.

I know that most of you do a fine job of keeping your virus checkers up 
to date.   However, please run your virus check again, to verify that 
you do not have the 'Sobig.F' virus.    Someone who has Allan's e-mail 
address on their machine has this virus.   This virus is spreading from 
this person's computer and Allan's name is being forged as the sender.   
If you have just got an e-mail from Allan with an attachment then it is a 
forgery.  I myself continue to suffer the same problem.   I am getting 
about ten bounce messages per day 'from me' which are also 
forgeries.   Unlike many computer virus worms, Sobig.F does not rely 
on MS Outlook to work.    Just because you don't use MS Outlook it 
doesn't mean you are safe.

Allan, if you are reading this you can trace who is the  original sender 
who is masquerading as you.    Look at the original message in a 
format that shows all the message headers  (most bounce messages 
will send the original message back to you).    The message header 
text will probably look like nonsense to you, but on the first line you will 
see a number in brackets.    It will be in a format something like this:

216.242.172.212

Next go to this website

http://eamnesia.com/hostinfo/ipinfo.jsp

Type the number in and the website will tell you the name domain it 
represents.    You can then use this information to track down the 
offender.  I think you will find it is not sharechat!
