Access Brokerage Ltd have recently been distributing emails (touting for business) by advising that they have expanded their research facilities for clients. As part of their campaign they make reference to an Australian research company called Fat Prophets, which is in effect, a tip sheet subscriber service. This seems more like a mutual advertising association than genuine research.
However, care should be taken when reviewing Fat Prophets "so called" performance claims and as a result, also their research credibility. The following are some of the internet references regarding dubious performance claims made by Fat Prophets who were investigated recently by the Australian Securities Commission.
