Sky City Entertainment depends heavily on tourism (particularly from Asia) for it's current business success and long-term growth opportunities. Clearly there is debate and differing opinions regarding the impact and outcome of the deadly mystery pneumonia virus, and the invasion of Iraq by the USA-Coalition forces, on how these will effect the SKC share price. The following details "hot off the press today" helps put the effect on tourism into perspective for the time being. If you believe this will be short-term then do nothing, otherwise you would be best advised to sell some (if not all) of your SKC shares. Personally, I expect SKC shares to tumble below the $5.00 mark within a few months. The Deadly Virus: Airports and airlines around the world have begun barring passengers showing flu-like symptoms. The disease has taken a heavy toll on tourism in parts of Asia. Four more people died in Asia on Monday bringing the death toll worldwide to at least 22, with several thousand showing the flu-like symptoms. The virus, spread swiftly around the world by air travellers, has infected hundreds in Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore, Canada and Germany. Suspected cases have been reported in the USA, UK, Australia and New Zealand. The Iraq War: Hopes fade for a very short war. Airline shares on a variety of exchanges eased significantly. The American Stock Exchange airline index closed down 10 percent on Monday. European airlines shares tumbled on Monday after US led forces met heavier resistance in Iraq, sending oil prices higher and carriers braced for war-related losses estimated at up to $10 billion. Tourism worldwide is expected to be greatly affected. Terrorism is expected to increase more than tenfold particularly against the USA, UK, and Australian targets worldwide. This will have a major impact on tourism in the months and years to come. Once again, regarding SKC shares - you have been warned.
