Dear Snoopy,

Thank you for your very kind thoughts re: our astronauts and  our efforts in 
space, they are very much appreciated.

IMHO, I don't think the war or space shutle disaster will torpedo the tax cut 
-- the Democrats might, but not the aformentioned two items mentioned.

By the way I read an article recently where the US does not withhold taxes from 
foreign investors on interest, and some of the European nations are furious at 
us for not doing this.  While you may say we are giving a great advantage to 
overseas investors (our past discussion  in reverse)the rumor is that we do it 
to intice more investors to paarticipate in our markets.  You would have to 
back through our previous thread, but, perhaps NZ does somewhat of a similar 
thing with the supplemental dividend, since we do pay double taxes on 
dividends, no matter where they  come from.

If the double taxation is eliminated on overseas dividends as well as our own, 
you can put it in the bank that the Yanks will be buying much more of Kiwi 
shares.  If we are positioned in advance, we, Kiwi's and the few of us over 
here in the US (little guys) will surely do very well indeed.
