Hi Chatters
Success story for Sky Riverside. All the gamblers have deserted the pubs. A
repeat of Auckland SkyCity. They reckon it may take about 3 weeks for the
place to return to normal.
One pub has revised a 30% drop in its
pokies budget.
I went to have a look at 11pm Monday night, and
was amazed at the number of people, a lot of asians were there, total about
300 people.
Someone asked me privately if there was parking
as the Hamilton central city is notoriously bad. Have no fear as the casino is
just a smaller version of Auckland with parking under the building (not
sure how many levels).
From my observations, the first 4 days have been
a success, and with the location and ample parking available, I would think
this will add to to other attractions in Hamilton to put it on the
tourist map.....something 5 years ago I would have laughed
about.....
Hamilton is a cowtown no more.
Cheers
Hoop

Hi
It has been quiet at the pokie machines in the
pubs in Hamilton this week..seems they ( me too ) are saving up to spend at
the Sky Riverside which opens this Friday. Rumour has it that the place
will be packed out.
River side has 300 pokies and 20 gaming
tables...opens at 11.00am shuts at 3.00am
Today the place was officially opened for
the lawyers, accountants, and the socially accepted high sociality type
people ( high rollers were ignored.. so I hear )... A big oops
happened today as they forgot the grog ....no liquor licence ...however
people in high places were present and a temporary licence was issued
quickly. ( amazing !!!!!!... things can happen quickly when the top
society get thirsty :)) )
Will keep SKC
investors informed.
