Hi Jared, > ><quote> > >'Gong of the week' post must go to the person who asked Phaedrus to >look at MHI, then finding out he was away, turned into a jelly and >was unable to attempt to make even the simplest decision themselves. >What would have happened if (god forbid!) Phaedrus had fallen under >a bus? I guess the said person would never have been able to invest >ever again. > ></quote> > >it is the `gong of the week' here. > > Call yourself whatever you like. I said your *post* deserved a gong of the week. Not you. You seemed to have taken on board what I said about the message and extrapolated that to include the messenger. > > >Ever asked for anothers opinion? Why must we disclose anything and >everything we may have done ourselves? > > Yes to Q1. And no, I don't expect you to disclose 'anything and everything'. I do expect you to disclose from what angle you come from when you ask your question, nothing more. I do try to do this myself. It is hard to answer a question for which you don't understand the perspective of the person that asked the question, and the same applies to the person that answers it. I know you said you were looking at a 'long term' investment, but what does that term mean to you? I ask because you seemed to be more concerned with trends than value. By my reckoning your original question didn't quite add up. > > >Where did you get the idea that I turned into jelly? >I only made one post, > > I see you answered your own question. The fact that you made no follow up meant that one reasonable conclusion was that you had turned into a jelly. Remember, I can only judge your state of mind on what you post here. I cannot read your mind. > >or all you know I could've bought MHI or any other share before > Phaedrus reappeared, which in fact I had! > So why didn't you tell us then? I've been half thinking about getting into MHI myself. I'm sure I and other sharechatters would value your opinion as to why you decided to jump in. It is great to have Phaedrus's opinion of course, but it is much more interesting if we have other people's as well. You have every right not to post your opinion, but why not post your opinion as a positive contribution here? > > >Unable to make the simplest decision? Another pathetic comment > based on NO information. > > If you don't post that you have made a decision I can't be expected to know. I am not a mind reader. Given the lack of follow up to your first post, I think it was a *reasonable* guess that you hadn't made a decision, even though it turned out to be inaccurate. > > >What a pathetic person you are, something must have pissed you off >majourly, to get you so riled up that you make such a >fool of yourself! > > What has 'pissed me off' is the lack of people making a positive contribution here in the last week. I congratulated Nick and a couple of others for doing so. The 'rant' was to try and get others to follow their example. I hereby withdraw all allegations that you turned into a jelly and sincerely apologise for any personal injury caused to you as a result. However, it was never my intention to defame you. I identified you as 'some person' (I didn't consider it worth looking up exactly who it was) indicating that I would have applied my criticisim to 'any person' who had displayed that (apparent) attitude. I was criticising the message, not the messanger. I am pleased that you do not shy away from criticising me, indeed I wish more people here would. However, I would be grateful if any such criticisim was more constructive in the future. Please, don't stop posting.
