Charlie,
         Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance is the best book I have ever 
read, and as you have guessed, it is indeed the origin of my pseudonym.  
      
 It is interesting to compare the performance of those two advisory services. 
The following gives the number of trades per year, and the average gain per 
trade for that year. The TechTrend service is clearly more consistent than the 
QQQST, and what's more, they appear to be steadily improving!  At one point, 
the QQQST system went for over 4 months without a winning trade, making 4 
consecutive losing trades in that time. Not everyone would be able to stick 
with a system that did that.

PS:- Malcolm, 2078.71 was the NZSE40 close on 12/7/02. On 19/7/02 it was 
2047.06, as per Kiwi's post.
