I also forgot to mention there are some stocks exempt from the uptick rule.
Index stocks can be shorted on ANY tick. The stocks I know of that alow this
are QQQ SPY and DIA. These stocks represent the Nasdaq 100 index, S&P500
index and the Dow Jones Indusrial index.
