I wouldn't normally chat on this forum but this email is full of it. On what basis do you make the statement that Data Advantage took over Baycorp? I've never heard of a takeover where the CEO of the company taken over becomes the CEO of the new entity. You sound very knowledgeable - almost convincing - but you're spouting things that aren't fact - yet proclaiming them to be fact. Your guess work may work some of the time but I wouldn't count on it working all of the time. I don't own Baycorp Advantage shares by the way... -----Original Message----- From: sharechat-owner@sharechat.co.nz [mailto:sharechat-owner@sharechat.co.nz] On Behalf Of winner69 . Because in essence Baycorp has been 'purged' - it has been taken over (goodwill and all) by Data Advantage. End of story. The new entity is Baycorp Advantage and the old Baycorp business is being merged into it. Baycorp did not 'take over' Data Advantage. BCA is being judged for better or worse by the market under this structure. Agreed that the *majority* of shareholders at the time of the take over were ex-Baycorp shareholders and as as such their sentiment probably meant something. That sentiment was likely to be different from when they were happy Baycorp shareholders and the new sentiment would be reflected in the subsequent BCA share price. The old DAD shareholders probably have probably had a chnage of sentiment as well. That is also reflected in the current BCA chart. The long term BCA (ex DAD) chart on the ASX (from 1998) reflects the sentiment of the market to BCA - both in good times and bad times and the time before, during and after their 'takeover' of Baycorp. The market thought BCA was worth $3.00 during 1998 and they think it is only worth $3.63 today. One thing for certain I don't think that any old Baycorp shareholders (and DAD ones for that) who are still in are happy with what has transpired -hardly a good result for the buy and hold investor. By the way apologoes for suggesting you might be losing your marbles earlier. Still a bit worried about things burning holes in your brain - tell us more _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---- To remove yourself from this list, please use the form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/chat/forum/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- To remove yourself from this list, please use the form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/chat/forum/
