[sharechat] RBD, a share traders nightmare.
hello snoopy
you must have an excellent filing system! my brain is developing such
extraordinary sieve-like characteristics that i barely remember owning rbd,
let alone posting about it ...
yep, wish i'd held. i made about 35% in a few months and sold. my broker
is the sterling barry mclauchlin at jbwere in christchurch, and while he
keeps me from deeply daft ideas, there are always some that sneak through
(thl, air, ffs etc). i also work through asb on-line. strangely enough, i
make fewer losses when i take sole responsibility, probably through
learning about emergency exit strategies on this forum...
i seem to be developing a rule of thumb: if a share has moved so far and
so fast that it would bring 120% profit within a year at the current speed,
i watch like a hawk and sell at the next weakness. this has mostly been of
the 15% inside six weeks variety, and it has served pretty well, with some
crashing exceptions such as rbd and whs. it is said by some that greed and
fear drive the market plays -- i reckon if i can balance them, that is,
offset one by the other, i should come out ahead.
while i'm here: peter maiden: did you get out of clh in time? i posted
querying the current condition of clh and cli around easter. since then
cli looks to have rediscovered North, but clh is a mess, even though it had
a great profit last year (130% increase in profit/revenue/something?). i
don't understand!
phaedrus, thank you for the relative strength index information with
respect to the fbu chart. the pudding has proved to be very tasty. i
wonder what a similar exercise would show for rbd -- not that i'm trying to
rain on geoff_julie's parade. good hold geoff!
i reckon that npx would be very amenable to trading according to chart
indicators -- hotdog! why am i holding??
regards, jefley
