I dont follow this share, but it seems the latest Aussie debacle and the 
China play with the brewery in the Yanghtze Delta must mean things are not 
all that rosy at Lion Nathan, or are parochial Kiwi drinkers in the provinces 
keeping things afloat?

This gives me a sense of deja vue. Didn't Dominion Breweries buy up hotels in 
the Lucky Country when they were run by Brierly? BIL was forced to retain 
these hotels when they sold off DB as they were such dogs. It was carried on 
the BIL books as the Austotel Trust.

The Australian pub trade must be praying that another N Z brewer crosses the 
ditch. To bad there are no other major Kiwi brewers left for them to welcome.
