This may be the reason, following from j.b.were The NZSE 40 Capital Index closed the day 25.22 points lower in afternoon trade driven lower by Telecom. The Australian Financial Review Street Talk column noted that Telecom's 21.5% holder Verizon may sell down it's stake under a convertable note structure in 2 installments. This seems to be what has driven the Telecom price lower with Telecom closing down 22 cents at $4.83.
