Wrightson, Bendon, FPH, Telcom, Tranzrail, etc. > and a static sharemarket in price terms Static? Fletcher Forests, Brierley, FPH and Telecom have been moving plenty. Bendon is involved in a two-way (three-way?) takeover battle. Lots of action. > which all make for an absence of posts. Haven't you heard: investing is passe. All the "now" people are into spending, not saving. zip-zap, no problem. For the first time since the depression, New Zealand's aggregate household net saving is negative. >I'd ditch all the NZQA approved turn up to class and you'll get a > certificate stuff in favour of doing the International Baccalaureate. Once upon a time, there were three co-educational state secondary schools in a New Zealand provincial city. Two of the schools had poor academic results and only a few hundred students attended these schools. The third school had excellent academic results and had 1300 students. This situation persisted for several years. Eventually, it was decided to combine the two smaller schools and give them a new name and image. Same students, same staff, same decile (2). But a new image! The International Baccalaureate! And they lived happily ever after. Yeah, right. > Degrees in maori Myths and Legends, basket weaving, and in being > PC just won't hack it overseas, or, increasingly, in NZ in the > future. I'm not too sure about that. Social workers, counsellors, Treaty of Waitangi researchers, government bureaucrats, broadcast journalists, teachers, lawyers, probation officers, and so on. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- To remove yourself from this list, please use the form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/chat/forum/
