[sharechat] Internal Trendlines

In his book "Getting Started in Technical Analysis" Jack Schwager discusses
the subject of internal trendlines. He argues that because conventional
trendlines are typically drawn to encompass extreme highs and lows, which
represent emotional excesses in the market, they may not be as useful as
internal trend lines drawn as a best approximate of the majority of relative
highs or lows without any special consideration given to the extreme points.
I know you have devoted a lot of time to explaining trendlines on this
forum Phaedrus but in searching through archived posts I haven't come across
anything directly realted to this subject. Would youself, Andrew and any
other active traders be able to fill me in on your thoughts of internal
versus conventional trendlines.

Regards,

T100
