[sharechat] fru -- and npx: chris
good grief! i've just had my second 'courtesy' phone call from Danone
offering more information and a phone number in case i think of something
during the night (or words to that effect).
i very politely said i wouldn't be taking up their offer, but omitted to
say that i'd sold this morning ...
chris - your request re npx rang bells with me because i nearly submitted
npx as a 'favourite share'. my reasons are good fundamentals, currently
low oil prices (but way out of npx control), and most of all it's a bouncy
bouncy stock.
npx seems to have bounced roughly every year for the last five years, and
had some noteworthy highs and lows before that. the last bounces have been
from approx 200 to 350 cents; 250 to 360; 270 to 390; and the current one
began at 280 and is passing through 330 hopefully en route to about 400!!
the highs usually come december to march.
the other side to this coin, of course, is that is has whacking great
troughs to catch the sleepy, so it must be watched very carefully...
free charting of your favourite nz (and ax) stocks is available at:
http://au.finance.yahoo.com/ (thank you, acp). in the box across the
middle, select the country, the code, and chart from the dropdown menu
headed 'basic'. when the chart appears there are a number of options to
play with, and the current live quote, year highs and lows, div dates and
yields etc also automatically occur below the chart. the charts are not as
good as at the equis site that is still having 'problems parsing historical
data', but better than nothing.
does any one know other sites that will chart nz stocks for free?
hey jared, hope you are enjoying the briscoes that i sold you ... good
luck!
regards, jefley
