Hi Ben and Viewpoint,
Hmmm, it could be the kiss of death when brokers start recommending
stocks I like :-/ .I agree with Greg that TEL is a good buy - at under $5
(disc. hold TEL), for the long term investor. As viewpoint said,
telecommunications paper worldwide has been in decline recently and taken a
bashing. However, I heard a rumour a while ago that there was something brewing
with telecommunications, technology wise, in the vein of beta vs vhs, and
whoever was on the winning side stood to do well.Could be hogwash of course but
I will try to find out more.
I will stick my neck out and say that telecom stocks worldwide are a pick
of mine for 2002. But, as I think Phaedrus said, it all depends on your risk
profile and the time frame in which you operate.
