Yes, I don't think that there is any need for
panic, just now!
The predicted downtrend, if it does occur, will be
spread over a number of years. As usual, there will be shorter uptrends as
well!
Excellent stocks will do reasonable well!
Not really a good time for
Index funds, I think!
Those skilled Stock pickers who have done
well, will continue to do well: Instead of say 23% compound a year, they
may have to make do with say 14%.
They will need to pick extremely
heavily undervalued but also excellent
stocks, when "panicky troughs" occur!
Timing is everything!
In this way, they can still hold them for a longer
term!
Very interesting times for a skilled Stock picker!

picker: somebody, whose interests and knowledge cover more than just
"shares".
