hello john ashcroft!
i have also been watching wam (with horror as my entry is $4) with a view 
to averaging down, and have been awfully pleased that i just watched!  my 
jbwere broker says that they are recommending them at these levels and 
think that the business fundamentals will improve from here.
i dont have any cash at the moment, but would buy some more if i  did. 
 however, i am psychologically opposed to the idea of "averaging down". 
 when i buy more of a declining stock, i run it as a parallel entry, and 
sell the second entry "when it's given me a good return" -- say 20% -- 
regardless of  where the overall return is.  there is no logic to this, but 
it keeps me happier ...
regarding your charts:  the png chart was clearer than the jpg for me.
