There's a world of difference between Spectrum
& Wilson Neill in terms of director quality - the former have reputations
worth preserving; the latter....well. I wouldn't want to dissuade anyone from
investing in a smaller company - ironically they can be the easiest companies to
understand & Warren Buffett never invests in companies he doesn't
understand.
If an investor can keep informed with regular
emails from Spectrum, that's possibly a sign of a company honest story.
WNC doesn't send emails (or even reply to letters) It has a website, but it
hasn't been updated in over a year.
PS I see former WNC director Paul Hyslop in today's
"Herald" - in discussions over Fletcher Challenges claim against him for insider
trading.
