A very good free web based charting facility can be found at http://www.equis.com/java/ Bar or line graphs are selectable, as well as Japanese Candlesticks. Data for one year is charted, and plots are able to be zoomed or scrolled. Periodicity can be daily, weekly, or monthly, even Intraday for US stocks. You are able to draw trendlines and support/resistance levels on screen. Charts are printable. Countries other than USA are supported. Enter New Zealand stocks as xxx.NZ and Australian stocks as xxx.AX There is an online Users Manual which gives full instructions plus notes on each indicator. This site provides an excellent introduction to some of the tools of Technical Analysis, without any financial outlay.
