Correct me if I am wrong but I have seen mentioned
that a share split usually results in an increase in liquidity - and with the
possible exit of Contact from the top ten - liquidity is one of the
factors taken into account on deciding who will move into the top ten.
Surely a move into the top ten is of benefit to shareholders with the
increase in demand from institutions and the like. So if a share split helps the
cause then go for it.
