[sharechat] WDT
John,
After listing, WDT went into a downtrend. This was followed by a 50 - 60
cent trading range which lasted about 4 months. The downtrend has now resumed.
This stock is very thinly traded. It has on occasion gone for 3 consecutive
trading days without a single sale. Technical analysis works best on heavily
traded stocks, so it would be foolish to buy solely on a trendline break, for
example.
It would be very difficult to buy a meaningful parcel of these shares without
pushing the price up substantially. Should you be lucky enough to make a profit
on paper, it would be almost impossible to realise that profit and quit the
stock without pushing the price markedly lower in the process.
I guess you did speak of maybe taking a small stake. It would need to be. The
average turnover in the last 7 trading days has been less than $1300. Per day.
Regards,
Phaedrus.
