[sharechat] WAM
WAM is in both a Short-term downtrend and a Long-term downtrend. There is no
indication of either trend easing, let alone ending. Anyone buying while a
stock is trending down like this runs a high risk of further downside movement
- regardless of the underlying fundamentals. I have no doubt that WAM was
"fundamentally strong" when John bought at 350.
Cullen notes that WAM is still sliding, and wonders "Perhaps a good time to
look at entering???" Not while it is still heading South. Wait for the
down-trend to end. Who knows how low it will go? Better yet, wait for an
Uptrend to begin.
Brian asks if this is a "Classic Buy". No, it is a classic "don't even think
about it yet".
Unlike Nick, I have found the "Chatters Index" to be an indicator with a
negative performance correlation. The more speculative and flakey stocks tend
to be the most widely discussed.
