ShareChat's next Investor Interview will be held with the CEO of Genesis
Research and Development Corporation (NZSE: GEN), Dr Jim Watson.

Genesis is an Auckland-based biotechnology company. Its business strategy is
"to partner with biopharmaceutical, agricultural and forestry companies to
develop and market end products from the gene discovery pipeline". The
company has been running since 1994 and listed on the NZSE last year.
Although the stock was favoured initially it has been sold down on concerns
that a psoriasis drug treatment may not meet expectations in terms of
commercial success. It also recently completed the first part of a trial for
a new asthma treatment. The company turned in a surprise $723,000 profit at
the end of last year when it had forecast a loss of around $10 million,
thanks to income from sublicensing its PVAC treatment for psoriasis to
overseas companies. In the half-year to June 2001 the company lost $1.7
