Re: Results from Telecom

Pretty much the sort of announcement I expected. As per your comment Ted, difficult to know what to make of it. Negatives today but hints of good times to come.

Worst case, I think the share price will be supported at current levels by overseas value investors attracted by the dividend yield with some currency upside as $NZ firms slightly against major currencies.

Best case, I see some upside potential for the same reasons, and was therefore looking to add to my portfolio this morning. (As a 2 to 3 year buy and hold at current prices).

On a technical point, interesting this morning to see the buy and sell quotes remain steady (for example 522 / 524) whilst the last trade figure flipped several times between 517 and 524. My limit buy order sat there at 523 and was not accepted by the system.

Am I correct in thinking the trades at 517 were "off market" and therefore not available to the small investor?

Subject: [sharechat] What ever happened to.........

................the days where there many contibutors to this forum, we actually discussed NZ Shares and the NZ sharemarket, and rigorous discussion and opinion was the order of the day.

Is there anyone out there still? (apart from you Gerry)

Any comments on results from
TEL
FRU
WRI
In the old days (not that long ago actually) there would be a s...t load of comment already!

Is it because all the results were pretty much as predicted and no surprises? I think WRI have done well, and particularly look good for the future. FRU okayresult, but good signs are that the UK is improving and a pleasant surprise may come in the next few months.
TEL - don't know what to make of it. Any help?
Cheers and Shares
