I hold
a slightly different view. In the past, I did not invest in "non-ethical"
companies. I believed that doing so was showing support for the
company.
Now I
approach my investments on the basis of making money. Shares are just a vehicle
to make money (for me - and for most people).
I am a
small fish in a big pond. Whether one of the "un-ethical" companies
has me as a shareholder or not will not make an ounce of difference to their
success.
My
opinion is that there are profits to be made and they need to be made by
someone.
What I choose to do with those
profits determines whether I am an integritable/non-integritable
(ethical/non-ethical) person.
At the
end of the day, it's a matter of choice though isn't it.
