Correct me if I am wrong but is the buyback not
funded out of cash reserves which are part of the nta?
If so then as the number of shares on issue are
reduced then so are the cash reserves proportionately reduced and the nta will
stay the same.
Any price improvement would come from demand
exceeding supply of a reduced number of shares available
