This has been
quoted a few times on Sharechat lately -
Doesn't 47 posts for MMD on Ozestock tend to confirm the point Snoopy makes about MMD possibly being "ITC all over again"? If a share is being talked about, and speculated on, to this extent, it makes it impossible to estimate how much of the price is due to this enthusiasm. ITC was a hot topic a while ago ; the messages fade away along with the share price, or is it the other way around? I don't think the
comprison between the amount of chat re MMD on ozestock and the enthusiasm re
ITC is relevant - different ballgame all together. The reasons behind the posts
are totally different.
Most of the posts re MMD are
banter between a group of enthusiastic traders (affectionately called MMDers)
who ride every trade, However interpersed with this banter are some good
background posts re MMD and other bio tech companies. Quite amusing message board really that
little family
No doubt a
bit of hype does a have a bearing on the price - but then I think everybody
agrees that this is a high risk investment in that the mechanical heart may
never to come to fruition.
Then again is it much different
than a punt on the speculation that. say, FBU being may be taken over
- or what will happen to the AIRVA and AIRVB shares under many of the
different Air New Zealand scenarios.
It is all a matter of risk and
reward.
